Join the Movement
Our volunteers provide critical capacity to our advocacy, direct service, and community-building work to uplift TwoSpirit, Trans, & Gender Diverse communities. Our volunteers have helped to:
- Advocate for policies around housing, healthcare, police accountability, and sex worker safety
- Plan and execute Trans Pride Seattle
- Create and maintain resource guides (like our current resource directory)
- And more!

Our biggest volunteer opportunities throughout the year are Trans Advocacy Day, which happens annually around February, and Trans Pride Seattle, which happens annually in June. We also have lots of volunteer opportunities in the lead-up to both of these events, helping to plan and make them as fun and successful as possible!
Volunteer with Trans Pride Seattle
One of the largest Trans gatherings in the U.S., a community event like this couldn’t happen without volunteers! Volunteers make a huge impact on Trans Pride Seattle’s capacity to maintain a safe, fun, and accessible event for everyone to enjoy.
We need volunteers both virtually in the lead-up to the event and in-person on the day before, the day of, and the day after. For an outline of the various roles available, please reference our organizational chart here.
Volunteer sign-ups for Trans Pride 2025 are not yet open, but we recommend either signing up for our newsletter (and selecting ‘volunteer updates’) and/or following us on Instagram or Facebook @TransPrideSeattle to be notified when sign-ups open up.

Volunteer for Trans Advocacy Day
Each year during the legislative session, our advocacy team organizes our annual Trans Advocacy Day, where we bring as many volunteers as possible to the Washington State Capitol in Olympia to talk to our legislators about the issues that matter to our communities.
At our 2024 Trans Advocacy Day, we brought 183 people to the State House, representing every single district in the state and reaching every Democratic member of the House of Representatives at a critical time: Our advocates changed legislators’ minds and secured firm commitments from multiple legislators to support and ultimately help pass the Stripper Bill of Rights and curriculum inclusion for LGBTQ+ youth in schools.
